Some of the coolest experiences I’ve had as a photographer have come from moments when I visit or stumble upon extraordinary outdoor spaces with what I call “ unusual land formations”.

When surrounded by these unusual places my mind instantly moves into the mode of trying to visualize how this land formation was created, what’s the history? Did a catastrophic event cause the change in the landscape? How did these formations survive? and more.
